In 1991, the founders of the International Club of Berne and its first committee members didn’t have a clue where the club would be in 25 years. And yet, here we are, still functioning, thanks to the commitment and energy of our volunteers and the support of our members.
From personal experience, I find that joining the International Club and becoming an active member on the committee was the best thing I could do to improve my social life in a new country. Not only have I found many good friends through the club, but the experience has also made me feel at home and glad to be living in Switzerland.
With best wishes for 2017 from all of us on the committee.
Nazanin Kupferschmid, President 2015-2017
The club was founded in 1991, as a non-political organisation open to all living in and around Berne, Switzerland, who are interested in meeting for social and cultural activities. We welcome people from all corners of the world. Our common language is English, though among our members many different languages can be heard. You can join this web site for free. Give us your postal address so we can send you our Newsletters. Then after a while, you can decide if you will join the club, fill out the Membership and Interest Forms, and pay 50.- or 60.- for the year.
