WE NOW PLAN FOR SATURDAY 16 SEPTEMBER.

We have the possibility of a guide - so I need confirmations for this by Wednesday. If not enough to share the costs, we sill still be there, without guide.

We cancel 10 September. An alternative is this walk
"Hike to the longest hanging bridge in the world"
https://www.meetup.com/Meetup-Bern/events/243151545/

Leaving Bern on platform 6 at 09:00 on 09:06 train to Visp and then another train to Randa where we will arrive at 10:53. Back in Bern probably not before 20:00.

Join Christine, and 10 other walkers. Led by Vincent. ICB members often join the Meetup events, don't be shy.

We cancel for Sunday 10 Septemberr. There are no trains to Fribourg (construction in Flkamatt) but buses e.g. 1210 to arrive at 1300.
Instead we do a walk on Saturday 16.

From a tour guide in Fribourg:

Subiect: Re: visits to Fribourg

Dear Mr. Graham Tritt,

I thank you for your e-mail and for your interest to take a sightseeing tour in Fribourg.

Please excuse my late answer, but it seems to me that your message arrived in my spam box, unfortunately.

We can offer you a private tour on the 10th or 16th of September. Meeting point; in the main station, near KIOSK shop. You may choose the hour of departure as it is a private walking tour. If the walking tour is on Saturdays, it would be very nice to see also the market, near the City Hall.

It is a walking tour that lasts about 2 hours and you will see the new and the old part of the city, including the Cathedral.

This week it is also a special one as there are several events happening in Fribourg and in the region:

https://www.nike-kulturerbe.ch/fr/venezvisiterch-journees-du-patrimoine/programme-2017/

For a group of max 10 persons the fee is 90 chf.

Please be so kind as to send me a message of confirmation if this walking tour may be suitable for your group. I shall send you then the name and the phone number of the guide available on these dates.

In case you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

My phone number is 0041767406796

Best regards,
Alexandra Paraschiv

We need responses. I discussed the Fribourg trips at a Meetup meeting last night, they were enthusiastic about having our events on their site. My problem is that this adds to the responsibilities of our leaders (planning, notifying, coordinating, leading, care of attendees, alternatives etc).

I have an alternative proposal for Sunday 10: we go on to Gruyere to a ballooning festival and Benichon. Please comment here or email to tell me what you are interested in.

On Saturday 9 or Sunday 10, who is interested in a trip to Gruyere for the Benichon and a great Balloon festival?
