After taking the train and bus to reach Hohstalden at 12:41, we cross a privately owned hanging bridge (153 meters long) to reach a family-owned restaurant that serves local food dishes and the best lemon cake in Switzerland.

At 14:00, we head back through a lush forest to Frutigen, under the watchful eyes of delightful carved wooden people and animals (just over an hour walk).

We return to Berne by train from Frutigen at 15:32, arriving in Berne at 16:20.

I will almost certainly join you, but since the train from Kehrsatz arrives at 11:28, I will meet you directly on platform 3 to catch the train for Frutigen.

Gerd our treasurer has had a stroke and is recovering in Riggisberg clinic. Call Emilia for condolences and information. I'll go up there in the weekend sometime. Ask me if you wish to come. Graham
