Fine Art Museum Guided Tour

When                Sunday, 23 September, from 11:00
Where               Kunstmuseum Bern, Hodlerstr. 8, at the information desk.

Contact            Graham Tritt

Deadline          No registration needed

We take a guided tour in English of the collection of Hodler//Parallelism.

In his lifetime Ferdinand Hodler was already one of Switzerland’s most renowned painters. He evolved his own characteristic style that brought him international fame – a simple, clear-cut, and effective theory of parallelism, a compositional principle that reveals order and structures inherent in nature. Tree-lined paths, clouds or mountains mirrored in a lake, or a group of people are – according to Hodler's vision– arranged in parallel patterns, patterns that he underscores in his landscapes and figurative compositions by symmetry repetition.

The price is just the entry fee.. See for more information on the Fine Art Museum.

A great tour, attended by Graham and Lise of Denmark and Lourdes from China and Philippines. Afterwards a look at the exhibition called "Repiblik Geniale". Then Graham and Lise visited the art atelier of Mahroo at the BFH technical university of fine arts.

Also a registration from Lourdes. It's great with 4 to 8 people - so this is a good way to start your Sunday. Afterwards we can have a snack somewhere; I prefer to take a picnic and go tto the Botanical Gardens, it is just a 5 minute walk.
