Christmas Party

Mark your calendar now. We will send a special invitation in November.

When          Saturday, 15 December, from 18:00
Where         Murrihuus in Schliern
Contact        Irene Schenker (see page 2)
Deadline      Saturday, 8 December
This is one of our most popular events, attracting a good turnout with an informal ambience and fine festive fare. This is a "pot-luck" event – that is, every participant should bring a dish to share for five to six people. When registering, please tell Irene which dish you’ll be bringing.
The evening features entertainment and singing. There is no charge for members. Anyone not contributing a dish will be asked to pay CHF 30. Non-members pay an extra CHF 10. Wine is offered at CHF 10 per bottle; all other hot/cold beverages, including an apero, will be provided by the club.

We need volunteers to help with preparations (from 17:00).
Anyone who wants to help should please contact Gerd.

Great evening. New faces: Lourdes from the Philippines and her husband from England, Johannes from Eritrea with an amazing injera dish, Angela from Germany and Italy, Zarema from Uzbekistan. Many old faces, but many were missed ...

Special thanks to Vernon and Usha and Zarema for help with decorating and setup, and a great team of Willy and Heidi, Hubert and Linda, and Veronica and Gerhard for the cleanup.

On or two items are left over, contact me for return details.

Veronica and Gerhard will come, but late - on their travel from Salzburg to Mexico. Pamela hurt her foot and regrets that she cannot come, so we are missing a rice pot, if someone would like to make one.

We've been thinking about some party games - you are welcome to suggest something. A few quiz questions ...

We'll be asking you about places you have been to or would like to go to, from your "bucket list" (things to do before you die). So be ready to tell us about them. We'll do this in teams by tables!

Anyone who can sing or dance or play music is welcome to show us, we have an appreciative audience :-) This is "Asian style" entertainment whih is a lot of fun - how about karaoke :-) No, perhaps just carol singing :-)

Current count is 22 registrations. Please register with Irene. The count here online is never accurate as many readers have forgotten their login passwords :-) There will be some members from Toastmasters and English clubs.

Sure Nazanin that is ok. We can collect the decorations from you.

We will have a meeting for volunteers and helpers on the Tuesday 11 December, at 6 pm. This is before our committee meeting at 7 pm which is to review events and plan for January and February 2019.
