We go to Schwarzsee, by train from Berne at 10:34, connecting with a bus from Fribourg at 11:03. In Schwarzsee, we meet between 12:00–13:00 for a drink or snack at Restaurant Gypsera, next to the lake and parking below the ski lifts.

Schwarzsee is great for winter sports of all kinds. If frozen, the lake may be open for walking and skating.

A cross-country ski trail winds around the lake. Sledgers and ski learners can use the hill near the Gypsera, while skiers take the chairlifts upwards (see www.schwarzsee.ch). Between 16:00–17:00, we meet for a snack in the Hostellerie overlooking the lake (www.hostellerieamschwarzsee.ch).

At the Hostellerie, equipment can be rented. There is also a wellness area and you can visit the spectacular Ice Palace (see www.eispalaeste.ch).
