On Saturday the 6th of April a small group of ICB took part in a guided culture wander hike in Trachselwald in the Emmental. We went by train from Bern, a really nice little trip to Sumiswald.

The hike was organized by a Tour group led by Michael Tschanz, a knowledgeable and really pleasant person, with a group of about 12 persons. I must say, it was then for me, not a particularly group-minded person, a most refreshing day.

We followed a trail of the Täufer people who fled the country for Holland or the States. It was a trip I might do again with a friend.
The hike is partially uphill and needs good shoes, the tables of information were very visible and informative.

We hope that Michael will have success, he has things very well organized, likes doing it there was no question as to how the day would succeed or not. It does well. With this vibe of this group, I want to be a part of it. Something very cultured and informed, participating in exchanges, simply a good feeling.

The upcoming tours are of the same idea, some of them are more distant from Bern. Public transport is the very best way, and for those of us living alone a really neat way to be out with people who like cultural exchanges and are not fussy.

I look forward to more of the same.
