The basics of Nonviolent Communication involve expressing ourselves with clarity, compassion, self-responsibility, empathy, and the common good in mind, which is the exact opposite of what violent communication is. Violent communication involves threatening, judging, dehumanizing, blaming, or coercing others in order to get our way in a situation. Violent communication creates misunderstanding and frustration, pain and disagreements

Hi Graham

Something about me:
I’m originally from Chile. Live in Switzerland since 1992. Father of 3 (who are my best teachers for Non-Violent Communication, since they sure know how to trigger me), work as NVC coach and mediator, as well as body worker in Bern. You can also mention of my involvement in Toastmasters.

From Graham: he was a TM for 10 years, progressing through all stages up to Club President. See for details of the Berne English-speaking club.

See also for information on his other work.

New from Antonia:

Antonia Frei is a clinical psychologist and mediator, specializing in conflict management, prevention, systemic therapy and personal development. Her work experience is very international and has been acquired in countries such as Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain and Switzerland for over a decade.

Mediation is a fast, accessible and cost-effective conflict resolution method in areas such as family, work, interpersonal relationships, consumers’ rights and many more - a convenient alternative to the traditional justice system.
