We invite you to our February playreading of The Crucible by Arthur Miller

The reading will be hosted by Christoph Mayer and is open to both members and non-members.

Synopsis
Salem, Massachusetts in the late 17th century: Pastor Parris catches a group of teenage girls doing occult dances in the woods. In the following days, the girls’ odd and unhinged behaviour convinces this highly religious community to search for those responsible for bewitching them. As judges and experts of the occult gather at Salem, people start to realize how much one can accomplish by pretending to be under a witch’s spell…

Cast: 11 males, 11 females

The Caretakers' Story-Telling Workshop

The Caretakers theater Group are offering a story-telling workshop with the renowned Australian storyteller, animator and journalist, Emily Bissland.

on Sunday 23. February 2020, 10 – 17 (lunch included) at the Aki, Alpeneggstrasse 5, 3012 Bern

Emily Bissland has been an animator, videographer, features reporter and audio-maker. She now works for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as a TV researcher. Her work across media is distinguished by her ability to make a seemingly small story come to life through immediate, poignant characters and she has a keen eye for vivid details that makes the audience connect within minutes. Emily will share her varied storytelling experiences with us while exploring which form fits which story the best.

The workshop is open to anyone, free for members of The Caretakers and CHF 20.- for non-members. Membership CHF 30 see http://www.thecaretakers.ch/the-society/
