Meeting on Nonviolent Communication

  • Tuesday, 28th April 2020 at 7pm
  • Tuesday, 26th May 2020 at 7pm
  • Tuesday, 30th June 2020 at 7pm

Location: online meeting

Speaker Rodrigo Guerra is a coach and physical trainer in Berne. See the comments on the event page for his bio.

Nonviolent Communication (GfK) is a concept developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg. It enables people to deal with each other in such a way that the flow of communication leads to more trust and joy in life. The focus is not on getting other people to act, but on developing an appreciative relationship that enables more cooperation and shared creativity in living together and prevents violence in communication.

We were 10 in all, I had hoped for more but there are many pressures on our time. We use the chat to document the meeting snd give references which were mentioned. And to continue any discussion on this theme.

Our May speaker Rodrigo follows the method of Wim Hof

The Superhuman World of Wim Hof: The Iceman

Wim Hof first caught the attention of scientists when he proved he was able to use meditation to stay submerged in ice for 1 hour and 53 minutes without his core body temperature changing. Since then, he’s climbed Mount Everest in his shorts, resisted altitude sickness, completed a marathon in the Namib Desert with no water and proven under a laboratory setting that he’s able to influence his autonomic nervous system and immune system at will.
