Friday Zoom Party - each Friday, at 20:00, friends join in a Zoom meeting to say hallo.
Sometimes we cook a special dish for family and friends. Smetimes we choose special wines (or other drinks) to raise a toast to each other.
It is New Zealand's national day, see www.waitangi.org.nz, celebrating the treaty between Maori tribal chiefs and the British government in 1840. It starts locally on 5 February at 5 am with a dawn and flag-raising ceremony, and continues all day. New Zealand is 12 hours ahead of CET so we will occasionally tune in our Zoom to see the entertainment as it is going on.
If you don't use WhatsApp, mail me for the details. We also have Threema and Signal groups so tell me if you prefer these. We will be losing the Webspaces provider soon, so we will put you on a Google Group which we use to send invitations. You should have a gmail account, and go to https://groups.google.com/g/icb-events to join the new group.
Membership fees for 2021 are due: CHF 50 per person or CHF 60 for a couple or household. Add CHF 2 if you pay through the post - we prefer bank transfer (IBAN number CH95 0079 0042 3449 8516 7, please specify ICB and your name). Most of our events are open to members and friends, but others are for ICB members only. We welcome you to join us and receive our regular Newsletter.
Friday 15 January: join club members in a discussion on cooking! You can try out a recipe and get help!
Join the chat group www.tinyurl.com/ICB-Wining to talk and get the Zoom link.Or email Graham or Carla (see the Newsletter page 2) to receive it.
Most people will be "home alone" and perhaps testing out recipes. The zoom room will be open from early to late, and you can drop in for a quick chat at 6 or 7 pm before the main discussion at 8 pm. Have a glass of wine ready for toasting!
Friday 19 November
We have a group to organise a Wines & Wild Evening in November when we enjoy two or three different wines and some typical Swiss "Wild" specialties. We have a zoom call to compare notes. Anyone who actually would like to physically meet up should make contact and some people will get together. We can also swop food ideas.
From Lois: I have selected 3 wines, so you can choose any two. Or if a group is physically getting together, you could try all 3. All from the Coop. If you go tomorrow 30 October, it's 20%off.
