Walk and Talk -- Niederscherli to Schwarzwasser - This event has been cancelled due to bad weather.

Sunday, 29th June 2014 at 10:30am

Location: Meet at Niederscherli train station

This event is in the past.

Please register by Friday, 27 June.

From Niederscherli, we walk downhill for an hour on hiking trails to the Sense river, continuing along it to the Schwarzwasser bridge, and uphill to the restaurant of the same name. We then return by train to Niederscherli or Berne.

This easy walk with a break should take about three and a half hours. Bring a snack and enough to drink. There is a nice place along the way for a picnic.

To get to Niederscherli train station, take train S6 from Berne, which arrives at 10:23; parking spaces are available at the station or the nearby church if you choose to drive.

The weather may be ok, much like today, threats of rain. We will only notify those who have said YES or MAYBE, so if you just go to Niederscherli at 10:30, you may be lucky or unlucky.

Walkers should bring raincoat and hat, once we start there is no shelter location. But there are easy ways back to the railway, in case we decide to shorten the route.

It may be wet, and we will decide on Saturday evening or Sunday morning if the walk will take place. BUT WE WILL ONLY NOTIFY those who say YES or MAYBE. So if you are thinking of coming, RSVP.

Lots of virus and colds going around. Stay warm and protected.

Gerd our treasurer has had a stroke and is recovering in Riggisberg clinic. Call Emilia for condolences and information. I'll go up there in the weekend sometime. Ask me if you wish to come. Graham
