ESCB Picnic

Saturday, 16th August 2014 at 5pm - 9pm

Location: near Mädergustrasse 91, Bümpliz

This event is in the past.

ICB club members are welcome

Where: grill and picnic area near the end station of tram 7, Bümpliz Near Mädergutstrasse 91

No reservation required - stop by with something to grill, the trimmings & your own drinks. There are often people sharing extra food though. Don't forget your plates, cutlery, cups, etc.

17:00 - games (bring something small like a frisbee, hacky sack, cards, etc.) 17:00-19:30 - grilling 21:00ish - quiet down & help clean up a bit * Afterwards a group of us will head to the famous Bümpliz "Chilbi" or carnival - with rides, booths, beer tent, music, dancing, fun, fun, fun.

Directions to BBQ: By car (but then you can't drink alcohol), there is blue zone parking all along Mädergutstrasse toward #91. At the end of the drive is a turnaround area and the BBQ place is just beyond that through a gate in a large chain-link fence. By public transportation, take the #7 tram direction Bümpliz, exiting at the end station. The BBQ place is practically next to the tram stop - just walk around the left side to follow the fence to the gate.

Hint: plug in Mädergustrasse 91, Bümpliz into Google maps. In satellite view, the fenced area between the high-rise building (#91) and the red tram is the BBQ area. The gate is near the small, yellow cabin in front of the parked cars in the turn-around area of Mädergutstrasse.

* Afterwards: a group always goes to the famous local carnival, the Bümplizer Chilbi, which is the largest in the Kanton of Bern. So plan to come along too.
