Where We meet at Niederscherli station. Train S6 from Berne arrives at 10:23; parking spaces are available nearby if you drive.

From Niederscherli, we walk for an hour on hiking trails down to the Sense river, continue for another hour to the Schwarzwasser bridge, and then uphill to the restaurant of the same name. We then return by train to Niederscherli or Berne. This easy walk including a break for a picnic should take about three hours. Bring a snack and drinks.
