Attendees divide into teams of three to five persons. There will be four or five rounds, covering themes such as cinema, sports, music, science and geography. Don’t worry, the hour-and-a-half quiz won’t involve anything too difficult and even features some multiple-choice questions; culturally-based trivia will be avoided. The entry fee is CHF 5 per person, and there will be prizes! There will be a break for participants to refill their glasses. Fun is guaranteed!

Attendees should be ESCB “basic members” (for legal reasons). You can join free of charge on their website at www.englishclub.ch

Graham wrote at 12:18am on Friday, 28th August 2015: We were 40 competitors in 7 teams. Including 4 ICB members, 10 from the host club, and the rest from meetup and friends. A good time was had by all. Typical questions: name the 5 most popular museums in the world; what is MDCLXXVII in decimal; when was the last football World Cup in Berne (1954); what are the smallest and largest countries in Europe (Vatican City in Kasachstan - our quizmaster defines Europe according to the UEFA); how many Nobel prizes are given out each year; what Bond films have "gold" in the title; identify some films from photos; ...

- everyone pays 5.00 to participate and all money is paid back out in the form of prizes
- teams of 4 people, come in a group or get together with people on the evening
- there will be several rounds of questions with each round being a specific theme
- there will be one audio/visual round; there will be prizes per round and a grand prize
- themes will be international oriented (not just British)

The quiz will start at 20:30 promptly so be there on time! Cost is 5.00 CHF per person.
